The Legal 500 is the largest and most in-depth analysis of law firms across the globe, awarding recognition to firms with a reputation for handling complex and innovative cases.

As a result, Serious Law LLP is recommended and recognised in the top tier of the prestigious UK edition as a leading catastrophic injury law firm.

Cyber Essentials

Serious Law has been awarded the Cyber Essentials certifcate. The Certificate certifies that Serious Law LLP was assessed as meeting the Cyber Essentials implementation profile [BIS/14/696/1.5] and thus that, at the time of testing, the organisation’s ICT defences were assessed as satisfactory against cyber-attack.

The Law Society

Serious Law LLP is a member of The Law Society, an organisation representing solicitors throughout England and Wales.

Their extensive services include negotiating with the profession’s regulators and the government, as well as offering training and advice.

Lexcel

Serious Law LLP holds the prestigious Lexcel Practice Management Standard; an accreditation that has been awarded to only a small percentage the UK's law firms.

Lexcel is the Law Society's international practice management standard. It is a scheme for any type of practice to certify that certain standards have been met following independent assessment. The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest management and customer care standards. Lexcel accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management.

Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme

The Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme is administered by The Law Society.

It is a quality mark awarded to the personal injury lawyers who demonstrate a high level of knowledge, skill and experience in their chosen field.

APIL

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is a non-profit organisation that was established in 1999. They are dedicated to changing current laws so that victims of personal injury can be protected, and their access to justice can be improved. Serious Law LLP maintains a membership of APIL.

Headway Head Injury Solicitors

Members of Headway — the brain injury association Head Injury Solicitors Directory. Serious Law LLP is included in Headway's directory as a firm working within their code of conduct.

This allows Headway clients to make an informed choice of which firm to choose when looking for legal advice and long-term financial support after brain injury.

Rooprai Spinal Trust

The Rooprai Spinal Trust is a charity dedicated to helping people affected by spinal injury.

Marrianne Rooprai is the inspiration for the Trust, which was set up by Marrianne and her partner. Marrianne was involved in a road accident that left her paralysed from the shoulders down.

The Rooprai Spinal Trust has helped Marrianne achieve many goals during rehabilitation, recently trialling the latest technological breakthrough for spinal injury, the eksoskeleton. Marrianne’s story is a humbling and inspiring one and we recommend that anybody who has been affected by a serious spinal injury should visit the Trust’s website.

Serious Law LLP is very proud to have been Marrianne’s chosen law firm and we continue our close relationship with Marrianne and the Rooprai Spinal Trust to this day, providing administrative assistance and support.

SIA

The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is one of the leading national charities for spinally injured people; providing advice, education and support. The organisation is user-led, so all their elected trustees have experienced spinal injury.

Serious Law LLP is an SIA accredited law firm.

Spinal Injury Network

The Spinal Injury Network is an information and community-based website. The owner himself suffered a serious spinal injury, and started the website in the hope of helping others in a similar position to understand the nature of spinal cord injury.

Spinal Research

Spinal Research is one of the UK's largest spinal injury charities, dedicated to funding medical research and developing treatments.

Serious Law LLP supports the charity by sponsoring and attending various fund raising events each year. In particular, we have staged three golf days that to date have raised over £30,000.

CBIT

The Child Brain Injury Trust provides both educational and fundraising services to support those affected by childhood acquired brain injury. We have supported CBIT for many years, participating in sponsorship, fund raising and donations.

Serious Law LLP is an approved member of and contributor to the CBIT Legal Services Directory.

Back Up

Back Up is an organisation dedicated to providing guidance, support and training courses for those who are affected by spinal injury. Their mission is to deliver inspirational services that build the confidence of the spinally injured, ultimately helping them to realise their full potential.

Serious Law LLP has been a strong financial supporter of Back Up for many years and is currently involved in one of the Trust’s exciting new programmes.

Apparelyzed

Apparelyzed is an information and community driven website. The website owner of the site suffered a spinal injury, and has made available extensive information about some of the injury's lesser-known effects. Examples of these include skin and pressure sores, and the effect on temperature regulation. There is an excellent forum within that offers first hand advice.

BASIC

Serious Law LLP supports BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Centre), a national charity that provides counselling, rehabilitation and support to people affected by brain and spinal injuries.

BASIC is committed to raising funds for both neurosurgical research and technological advancement, and providing life-changing assistance to injured people and their families.
