Gillian has a strong expertise in the handling of cases arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work and military cases. She has a specialist focus on serious and catastrophic injuries including brain and spinal injuries, amputation and chronic pain.
During her career, Gillian has secured significant compensation sums for many clients, including a case involving a young man who suffered a severe brain injury when he was involved in a road traffic accident, that was approved for a £6 million settlement by the High Court. Gillian has also acted as a professional deputy for those who do not have the requisite mental capacity to litigate and manage their own affairs.
Gillian enjoys working closely with her clients and their families from the outset, to drive rehabilitation goals and support, and to ensure their best possible outcome.
Away from the office, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family, eating out, visiting the Lake District, cycling and shopping.
This case was a very complexed and upsetting case after Jacob devastatingly lost both of this parents. This made it difficult to determine whether Jacob's ongoing problems were as a direct result of the head injury sustained in the accident.
Bradley's accident occurred whilst on his way home from the skatepark with his friends. A metal peg found on the side of an embankment was thrown and landed in the back of our clients head causing a brain injury and associated problems.
Matthew's case involved a head on motorcycle collision with an oncoming vehicle. Our client sustained multiple injuries including ligament and bone damage to his left leg resulting in limited mobility. As a result of his accident, our client also sustained a head injury.
Luke was knocked from his motorcycle by a van emerging from a junction. The collision left our client with multiple fractures to both lower limbs, amongst other injuries, resulted in a significant reduction in mobility.
